Randa also recruits the Sky Devils, a squadron of Vietnam veteran helicopters led by Lt. Col. Preston Packard and highlighted by his right-hand man, Major Jack Chapman and Captain Earl Cole to escort them to the island. The group is soon joined by pacifist photojournalist Mason Weaver, who spells it out, believing it to be a covert military operation for nefarious purposes.
